Should we buy the extra sod or get our yard seeded for grass? Sprinklers??? - garden hose sprinkler

We are building a new house, and we would need approx. 40 pallets of SOD (U.S. $ 150 per pallet!) As a tip the front and patios. Our manufacturer supplies only 10 pallets, which is the front cover and most of the parties.

We are discussing whether to buy an additional 6 pallets. Covers only 8 meters deep (over the entire length of the house in the garden and therefore not very deep in all). Not even a sprinkler system, and the yard is HUGE!

Must we get all our money into the yard covered with grass, and maybe pass on a system of automatic sprinklers? These seeds, to survive, even starting in late spring, when they * may * appear?

Or

Should we buy the value of grass 8 meters deep (8 feet x width of the house), but after the sprinklers have to use a hose terrible?

HELP!

(and no, I do not know what kind of grass ... what moves only the extreme south Georgia).
